Obscuro Private Bridge

A private link between one Google account and self-hosted services.

Obscuro Private Bridge is a set of small sync and backup tools that its operator runs for their own use. It connects the operator's Google account to services the operator hosts themselves, such as a calendar and contacts server, a document archive and encrypted backups, so that their own data is available in both places.

Obscuro Private Bridge is not a public service. It has exactly one user, its operator, and it is not offered to anyone else. It only ever signs in to the operator's own Google account.

What Obscuro Private Bridge does with Google data

• Google Calendar: keeps calendars the operator has access to in sync with the operator's self-hosted calendar server, in both directions, so events created or changed on one side appear on the other.
• Google Contacts: keeps the operator's contacts in sync with the operator's self-hosted contacts server.
• YouTube: reads the operator's own subscriptions and playlists, read-only, to keep a copy in self-hosted tools.

Each tool only asks for the access it needs, and every sign-in is approved by the operator on Google's own consent screen.

See the privacy policy for how data is handled.
